Great Dane Friends of Ruff Love, the rescue that took in Baxter when his family could no longer care for him, just took in a mama Dane (Ella) and her 7 (7!) puppies! While the puppies are in relatively good health (worms and a cough but nothing serious) Ella is not doing very well. From laying on the dirty shelter floor and nursing her pups, she developed mastitis and is currently staying at the E-vet with a 105 fever. She extremely underweight and it’s a miracle she lived long enough to make it to the shelter.
These puppies and their mama are going to need a ton of vet care to get them healthy and then to get them all spayed/neutered before they can be adopted out.
I never do this, but 8 Danes is a lot for the rescue to take on! If you can spare even a dollar, it would help Ella and her big babies get to their goal of finding forever homes!
